Curriculum vitae
Marco Bullo was born in Piove di Sacco (Padova, Italy) on July 2nd, 1973 and lives in Padova - Italy.
He gradueted in Electronic Engineering at University of Padua on June 2000 and he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (XVII cycle) in 2005 at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Padua where he is teaching Assistant for the course of Electroheat since 2006.
Dr. Bullo, after the laurea degree, was at first involved in the European Project CRAFT JOE-CT98-7203 titled: "Transverse Flux Induction Heating of non-ferrous and precious metals", in cooperation with University of Hanover (Germany) and some German and Italian industrial partners; then he obtained in 2001 a position like a Scientific Technician at the Department of Electrical Engineering.
His main fields of research are electro heat, induction heating, electromagnetic processing of materials (EPM), numerical computation (on 2D, 3D, coupled electromagnetic, thermal, magneto-hydrodynamics and clinical hyperthermia), electrical measurement and high voltage techniques.
Dr. Bullo participated at the following projects:
- Padua University Project 2007 "Radiofrequency Hyperthermia in combination with chemotherapy for liver metasthasis treatment";
- National Interest Research Program (PRIN) founded by the Italian Government Ministry on Scientific Research:
- 2004 "Development of discrete formulations for complex electromagnetic devices and multi-physics problems modelling";
- 2005 "Innovative high efficiency technologies for induction heating of aluminium strips and billets";
- 2006 "Material development and electric modelling of direct methanol fuel cells for mobile electronic devices";
- several Research Contracts with many industrial companies (as Whirlpool Europe, ABB, Tetrapak Packaging Solutions, S.I.P.A. Plastic Packaging System, Inarca, TI Group Automotive Systems, SAET Technology and Equipment for Induction Heating, TELWIN Welding machines) in the field of induction heating, electroheat and design of electromagnetic devices.
Results of these researches were presented in several international conferences and seminars. Dr. Bullo won the first prize at the 11th Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation (CEFC) 2004 in Seoul (Korea) for the best poster presentation.
